As of July 2019, the first home in the Helman Heights subdivision has been completed! 716 N. Laurel has earned its Earth Advantage Platinum certification and is ready for someone to call it home! Photos are available here!

708 N. Laurel is expected to be completed soon and will be showcased during the Southern Oregon Tour of Homes, which takes place September 13-15 and 20-22 from 10 am - 4 pm daily.

One of the premier lots in the Helman Heights subdivision, Lot #6, is due to break ground this summer along with Lot #2, which is a great option for entry in to the subdivision.

A development named to honor, and integrate Ashland's past into our community's future.

Originally built in 1910, many were surprised the historic home known for ties to the Helman family was given a Helman Street address despite its location, about a quarter of a mile off the street.

Overtime, the winding driveway was named for other streets as the neighborhood grew, new homes were built and Helman School was constructed. Fruit orchards that inhabited the property once produced such an abundance of fruit they were canned and stored in the basement to offer residents a generous food supply during the cold winter months.

In early 2018, renovations of this land began with local green building company, Taylored Elements Construction. Reviving this historic property is an exciting project for the TEC team. Being an Ashland native, TEC's President Kyle Taylor, recognizes the significance of this project.

In tribute, each of the eight home designs will be inspired by the Northwest and feature surviving elements from the historic property with reference to where the feature was located within the original historic home.

The plans also include Earth Advantage Platinum Home Certifications, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, full landscaping, customizable features and views of Mount Ashland and Grizzly Peak.
